                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF M.L. KING BOULEVARD, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON SATURDAY,
                   AUGUST 21, 1993, FROM 8:30 A.M. TO 11:00
                   P.M. FOR "THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN CULTURAL ARTS
                   FESTIVAL" SPONSORED BY THE CHATTANOOGA
                   AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM, UNDER CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of M.L. King Boulevard from Lindsay Street to
       Houston Street on Saturday, August 21, 1993, from 8:30 a.m. to
       11:00 p.m. for the presentation of "The African-American Cultural 

       Arts Festival" sponsored by the Chattanooga African American
       Museum.  The sponsor shall set out flasher barricades and warning 

       signs in accordance with the traffic control plan attached hereto 

       and shall provide, at all times, an access lane for emergency
       vehicles.
